Intro to Race Equity - 10/26 & 11/1

What is race equity and how has the history of race impacted cities?

This fall, join fellow city officials for an interactive session to explore the history of race and the role of local government in equity for all residents. Come ready to participate as you learn more about implicit and explicit bias, understand your experiences of race, and identify ways cities are eliminating institutional and structural racism.

During this session, you will:

  • Understand the history and current impacts of race in the United States and in Minnesota
  • Learn how to identify implicit and explicit bias.
  • Explore how individual, institutional and structural racism can impact city policy
  • Get motivated to take action.
