The MPCA is seeking proposals from organizations to reduce chloride at the source within priority communities. The selected communities must have elevated chloride in their wastewater discharge or in local surface waters. The selected organization(s) will lead the effort within the selected communities in partnership with members of the community and local and state experts. The goal of the project is to strategically reduce chloride from known sources using a chloride reduction action plan and will result in reduce chloride impacts to local water resources. Multiple organizations may work together, but one organization will need to submit the application as the grantee.
Applications are due no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
