National Civic League Civic Index

The National Civic League's Civic Index is a self-assessment tool, based on a 1-4 rating on 32 questions, for measuring a community’s civic capital – the formal and informal relationships, networks and capacities that communities use to make decisions and solve problems. Questions are grouped under the topics of Engaged Residents, Inclusive Community Leadership, Collaborative Institutions, Embracing Diversity & Equity, Authentic Communication, Culture of Engagement, and Shared Vision & Values.
