2024 Environmental Congress - Register by 9/4

The Environmental Quality Board is excited to announce the 2024 Minnesota Environmental Congress! This year’s Congress will be hosted by board members and state agencies across four locations in Minnesota, aiming to gather Minnesotans to discuss local environmental issues and the actions being taken to address them. Participants will have a chance to hear from state agencies, then discuss with their neighbors and provide feedback on the state’s efforts.

September 23 – Brainerd: Climate resiliency and adaptation in key habitats (DNR)

September 24 – St. Cloud: Developing Minnesota’s green economy (DEED, Commerce)

September 25 – Saint Paul: Supporting local actions through the Climate Action Framework (MPCA)

September 26 – Mankato: Managing water pollution on agricultural lands (MDA)

What to expect

The Congress is a space to harness the energy and hopes of Minnesotans and cooperatively build a healthy future for our communities, wildlife, lands, and waters. We’ll do this by diving into small group conversations to discuss and identify our shared goals and collective needs for key elements of the state’s ongoing efforts to address critical environmental issues. Participants will then have an opportunity to share their common viewpoints with each other and members of the Board.

Meetings will be from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. and will include light snacks and refreshments. More details including event location, speakers, and agenda will be shared out to participants once registration closes on September 4th
