On November 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Trust for Public Land, with the MN Department of Natural Resources and MN Children's Outdoor Bill of Rights, will host the inaugural Minnesota Community Schoolyards Summit at the Westwood Hills Nature Center (8300 W Franklin Ave, St. Louis Park, MN).
This first-of-its-kind gathering will bring together school leaders, legislators, funders, and community partners to demonstrate how community schoolyards are an essential tool for boosting climate resilience, improving educational outcomes, and closing the park equity gap where it’s needed most.
You’ll hear from incredible keynote speakers on how we all can work together to grow the community schoolyards movement in Minnesota, ensuring all Minnesotans benefit from the power of nature.
Join us as we explore how these schoolyards can be transformed and open after school hours to promote learning, play, connection, and healthier, more resilient communities for generations to come.
Additional details will follow after Labor Day, but you can register today at https://events.tpl.org/mnschoolyardsummit/
