Is your community planning to purchase EVs and install charging infrastructure within the next six months?
GPI, in partnership with The Mobility House (TMH) and VEIC, is seeking Minnesota fleets to participate in an innovative pilot project designed to accelerate fleet electrification, making it faster, more cost-effective, and easier to scale.
Project partners are preparing a proposal to the Minnesota Department of Commerce’s Conservation Applied Research and Development (CARD) program to demonstrate the benefits of flexible service connections to reduce the time and cost of connecting charging stations to the grid. If approved and funded, this project will test how intelligent, automated load management (ALM) can reduce or avoid costly utility upgrades, optimize use of available grid capacity, and accelerate fleet electrification timelines, all while maintaining reliable fleet operations.
This demonstration will use ChargePilot, The Mobility House’s smart Charging Management System (CMS) for electric vehicle (EV) fleets, as the on site system to implement the flexible service concept. Participating fleets will:
- Receive technical support from The Mobility House to integrate ChargePilot’s ALM into your charging infrastructure.
- Gain valuable data and insights on charging optimization, grid impact, and cost savings potential.
- Help inform future utility interconnection processes and state policy to support efficient fleet electrification in Minnesota.
Project partners are currently seeking a fleet that plans to purchase two or more EVs and install charging infrastructure within the next six months. Participation would come at no cost to the selected fleet and would include an on-site technical assessment, installation of a local ChargePilot controller, a two-year software subscription funded by the project, and ongoing performance analysis.
If your fleet is interested in participating or would like to learn more, please contact Moaz Mian (muddin@gpisd.net) or Katelyn Bocklund (kbocklund@gpisd.net) by October 28.
The project partners look forward to partnering with forward-thinking fleets to advance efficient, affordable electrification solutions in Minnesota.
